The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, will visit Maharashtra (Shirdi and Mumbai) on (October 1, 2017) and inaugurate the Shirdi international airport and flag-off a flight from Shirdi to Mumbai
will also inaugurate the centenary year celebrations of Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba.
will attend a function organised to declare urban Maharashtra open defecation free (ODF), before returning to Delhi.

4-AYUSH Festival of Stamps

AYUSH Festival of Stamps is a joint venture of AYUSH Ministry and Department of Posts
The main objective of the event is to spread the message of Ayurveda and Philately as a hobby to the young generation. A facebook page, 'Philately for Ayush' was launched on the occasion by the Minister.
The page contains various activities / programmes online and offline organised for the festival. Viz. Poster making competition, blog writing, quize, elocution, paint and post, design a stamp competition etc.
To be held on 17th-18th October and this was organised at Kala Academy, panaji in Goa

5- ISRO exhibition at Surat

exhibition highlighting the achievements of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was inaugurated by the Union Minister of State of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (Independent Charge), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh, in Surat, Gujarat

6- selangor Investment Mission

The Chief Minister of the Malaysian state of Selangor, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Bin Ali met the Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Suresh Prabhu
Mr.ali applaude Genome Valley of Hyderabad for their cutting edge technology and expressed his State’s interest in collaboration with India in the field of bio-technology, ICT, life sciences, transport and logistics.
Both nations will participate in mutual cooperation in new and emerging areas such as bio-technology, influence in agriculture, disease control and other research areas.

7- Defence Minister visits Ladakh

Defence Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman visited the forward locations of Leh, Ladakh and Siachen
Also inaugurated a bridge on river Shyok on the road between Durbuk and Daulat Beg Oldi (DBO) which was constructed by the BRO Border Road Organisation

8- Facility of furnishing Letter of Undertaking extended to more exporters

Small exporters have to furnishing bond with requisite bank guarantee.
To facilitate exports under GST, it has been decided that the facility of furnishing Letter of Undertaking, in place of a bond, for exporting goods or services or both shall be allowed to exporters and no bank guarantee will be required

9-home minister visit to Uttarakhand

Shri Rajnath Singh visited the Lapthal and Rimkhim Border out Posts (BOPs) of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Inaugurated the Civic Action Programme and Blood Donation Camp at Joshimath and addressed at the free medical camp organized by ITBP.
He had visited the BoP Mana of ITBP (BoP-Border out Post)

11- High-Level Meeting on Railways Safety

Foot Over Bridges (FOBs), platforms and pathways on platform end to be treated as Safety items having highest priority with no restriction of budget. Earlier only the first FOB at a station was considered as essential and subsequent as passenger amenity.
For next 18 months, General Managers of Railway zones have been delegated powers without limit for Safety related issues. They shall intimate Financial Commissioner (FC) within a week of sanction for provision, and FC shall confirm the same within 15 days. In case of disagreement, the matter shall be put up to the Railway Board for final decision within the same 15 days.
Additional Escalators sanctioned at stations of the Mumbai Suburban system having high footfall with the details to be finalised within 15 days. Similar exercise will be carried out for all high use stations all over India.
200 officers to be relocated from Head Quarters as in field to strengthen ground operations and project implementation.
Brilliant & enthusiastic Station Directors are being posted at 75 stations all over India to bring dynamism in operations.
Within the next 15 months, CCTV cameras will be installed in all suburban trains in Mumbai with monitoring mechanism. This shall be done in parallel across India as well.
Delegation of financial & administration powers to field units by October 2017 to reduce red tape and push development & delivery
